Now Accepting Submissions for SECS FEST 2018

Posted by on Nov 6, 2017 in News, submissions, Website |

Submissions for the 2018 festival opened on Film Freeway on November 1st. However, we were in the process of transitioning the website to SECSFEST.org, so the announcement didn’t go out. Despite this minor complication, filmmakers are already finding the festival through filmfreeway.org.

So polish up that erotic film that you’ve had in the works and submit it before the end of the early bird deadline on December 1st.

We are also had at work selecting films for our monthly screenings at the Grand Illusion Cinema. While the next films have not yet been confirmed, I can say to expect the films to be a bit more mainstream and less explicit, but the film we’ve selected for November is super sexy. Hopefully, we will be able to announce the title any day now.

And we finally have a newsletter. If you would like to subscribe to receive updates in your inbox, you can subscribe now.

See you at the November event.

The Seattle Erotic Cinema Society (SECS) has been hard at work designing logos and learning the basics of wordpress so that we can finally launch a basic website.

So now, we can be found on twitter, facebook, and now we have a website.

In our goal to bring world-class erotic cinema to Seattle, we host a monthly film at the Grand Illusion Cinema. Tomorrow night we will be screening Private Vices, Public Virtues and the distributor Mondo Macrabro will be selling merchandise in the lobby before the film. You can read a more complete event description here.

The Stranger has even recommended our event in their Stranger (Than Usual) Things to Do in Seattle This Week column.

In other news, lecturer and film scholar Dr David Church, who some may remember from his excellent introduction of Sex World, has a new book, Disposable Passions: Vintage Pornography and the Material Legacies of Adult Cinema. It is available now through Amazon.
