Summary

Deriving its inspiration from Hal Fischer’s seminal work ‘Gay Semiotics: a photographic study of visual coding among homosexual men’, House of Air parodies instructional videos of the 1970s and at the same time explores a clash between coded and explicit representations of gay sex.

Director’s Biography

Brian Fairbairn and Karl Eccleston are a filmmaking duo based in London.

Their work has been featured on BBC’s QI, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Gawker, Vulture, Slate, Instinct, Attitude, Digg, and Business Insider. Their debut short, Skwerl has been viewed over 25 million times on YouTube.
